Presenting Miss Gabby
“My mom decided to post this picture of only my face….for several reasons! First, at this time of year, we have lots of melty red clay and mud (we live on a big lake) and I LOVE to get kinda brown and then swim for a while ’til I turn beige! Also, my belly is getting very big, very fast and neighbors are making fun of me!!”
This statue of Gabby with her best friend, Slick, was commissioned from Jennifer Rudkin Studio.
Jennifer is enormously talented and captured the personality of BOTH our babies. There is a link on the side of the page, directing you to this accomplished artist. Part of the proceeds goes to doodle rescue during the month of Oct.
Gabby is a first generation (F1) Labradoodle; this means one of her parents (mom) was a Labrador Retriever and the other (dad) was a Poodle. Both parents were owned by veteraniarians, screened for eye defects, hip dysplasia, elbows clear from arthritis, and other congenital defects. Her dad was a white, Standard Poodle with AKC Champion bloodlines. Mom was a light yellow AKC Labrador with a nice square, English head, dark eyes and the laid-back temperament of a dog bred for field work.
Careful breeding in prior generations gave us an unbelievably sweet girl with a friendly temperament, physical soundness and exceptional learning ability. Gabby is eager to please, loves to learn new tricks and play new games, has an affinity for tracking, retrieving, and any water sport! Gabby is very animated with great facial expressions and she has managed to train her humans well! She is a beautiful Standard (23” at the wither) white, wooly Labradoodle; she has a “good CERF rating, and a “good” rating on hips and elbows from OFA.
Meet Oregon

Oregon has the most wonderful, fluffy, short face! Just a perfect whimsical doodle.
Oregon is the sire of this litter and was selected very carefully to bring additional desirable qualities to the next generation.
He comes from the original Australian Tegan Park bloodlines and is a small Standard (55 lbs.), white, curly-coated Labradoodle. His breeder is the aAprina Labradoodle kennel with a link to the right; he is owned by Tina Rineer owner of Bad Company Kennel in Pennsylvania. Oregon is about to retire from their breeding program and this will be his last litter with Gabby!
He, too, has a gentle, easy-going disposition and a sturdy, solid confirmation. He has a sweet compact face, giving him a whimsical, comical countenance.
We are so lucky to have found him!
He also tested as “good” by OFA, negative for elbows, and had a clear rating on the CERF exam.
