The new babies have arrived!

Yesterday around 10:30 Gabby started having her puppies. The final count, around 4pm, was 5 girls and 3 boys! Eight puppies altogether!!! Mom and babies are resting comfortably and friends, like Slick and Foxy, have already visited their new cousins. She is an Octo-Mom!!!

About the labradoodle breed and Gabby and Oregon.

Although the Australian Labradoodle Association is working toward getting the breed recognized, many of the puppies available today are the result of “backyard breeding” where one friend has a poodle and the other a lab.  You never really know what you’ll get.  This hybrid is not recognized by the American Kennel Club and often not [...]

Adjusting to babies!

Slick the cat is my really best friend, mostly because he doesn’t put up much resistance when I wrestle him to the ground!  He and Foxy, who is my very sweet Rottweiler sister inspected all construction for any defects – making sure it is safe for the new babies.  They have tried to sneak around the [...]

Gabby and Friends!

Labradoodles make wonderful family pets! Labradoodles also meld well with a family who has other pets. Gabby loves her friend Slick! Gabby is a natural mother, the puppies will be so lucky to have Gabby and her loving fur friends and human owners! Slick, as cats do, tolerates Gabby’s motherly love! However at the end of the day, when everything is said and done, they are true pals!

We won’t have a second x-ray!

We’ll just count on whelping going well and have the vet on stand-by. Gabby helped her mom build a special whelping box this past weekend….completely lined in plastic/ escape channels for newborns to roll out of mom’s way. Both Slick the cat and our old Rottweiler (Foxy) showed a lot of interest in construction. It will be interesting to follow the dynamics that come with motherhood. Foxy tends to love and be very possessive of babies and Slick expects to be welcomed wherever his curiosity leads…mom, Gabby, may have different ideas. Stay tuned.

Early X-Ray!

An early x-ray showed 5-6 possible babies in there, due between March 24th – 27th…I’m betting 9! 6 girls and 3 boys to be born on Friday, the 26th.  Yikes!!  Any guesses?

What will Gabby’s puppies look like?

Gabby hasn’t had her puppies just yet, though she is due around the end of March! However I thought I’d like to share a picture of what Labradoodle puppies look like. How can anyone resist that cute face?!?!

Gabby is expecting puppies!

Welcome to the Gabby the Labradoodle website.

Gabby is expecting puppies in a few weeks and her puppies will be available for you to purchase and provide companionship for your family. Why don’t you start off by reading about the Gabby the Labradoodle website. Then meet the parents of the impending litter. Reserve now with a puppy application and a $300 non-refundable deposit. We will not ship puppies; however, we will drive up to 300 mi. from SW Virginia to meet new puppy parents. Puppies from this litter will be perfect candidates for service work, agility, obedience or general companionship. They may be white, parchment, cream, apricot, red, or chocolate. They should be curly and fleece-coated, allergy-friendly with minimal shedding (no dog can be guaranteed non-allergenic.) They will be well-socialized with children, babies, cats, other dogs. They will be hand-raised with lots of stimulation and will NOT have the frantic behavior that often comes with irresponsible breeding. Our puppies will have dew claws (that front paw thumb nail that snags on everything!) removed and each puppy will have an individual micro-chip.

They are multi-generational Labradoodles and will have a full four-generation pedigree. They may be registered with either the CKC or the Australian Labradoodle Association of America. They will have first puppy shots and a one-year warranty against genetic deficiencies. The Fabians promise this will be the best family dog you ever had!
