If you would like to see more pictures of the puppies, come make friends at Gabby’s facebook page (you must be logged into facebook to view and make a friend of Gabby Labradoodle to get all the conversation and details.) New puppy parents are bragging, sharing tricks, and giving advice on how to manage behaviors. And new videos are now online at http://www.YouTube.com/thegabbylabradoodle Get the whole package. When they started losing teeth, they were saved for science class, kept with shark teeth or disappeared to the “Tooth Furry.”
And so eager to please! These are NOT your ordinary Labradoodles! They know many tricks , have manners when needed, and are each in the most loving homes. Lucky families! Lucky pups! Even PAX featured in the puppy literature for St. Francis (link at the side of this page) has had an exciting life and is now living a dream life at Smith Mountain Lake.
Thoroughly tested for several generations to minimize the likelihood of eye problems, hip displasia, and degenerative arthritis, they received their first shots, were micro-chipped, wormed, bathed, trimmed and pampered before going to new homes. And, they already knew the words “Come” and “Sit” and those with forever names, knew their names! Very smart for just 8 weeks.
If you would like to see videos, visit our Youtube page. The one of Bob with a bunny-doodle is a riot and Slick, the Cat, is always entertaining. And, there’s a hysterical one of Jeb entertaining himself!
This has been a wonderful experience for us! We are planning on doing it again for the
SUMMER of 2012
They all have their mom’s compact, solid, strong confirmation and their dad’s blocky short muzzle, beautiful labby head and a leaner, supple body built for speed and agility. Eyes are dark, deep brown and darkly-lined with dark-defined mouths and pure black noses on beautiful white faces. We will remember each face, each personality, their willfulness, their desire to please, their depth and spirit shining through! And each familty stays in touch and shares pictures and updates!

There appears to be a huge fluffy white BODY PILLOW in this park!
LIZABELL – what an amazing fluffball!
has gone to live with the Weavers in Yorktown, VA and here is what her new mom has to share,
She sleeps just like her mom right next to her dad!
“She has so much personallity and we just love her. Alan [age 5] is just thrilled with her as the day we got her. She keeps us laughing with her little antics of playing fetch, thinking it’s always time to eat ( she loves loves loves to eat) and just running through the house at 90 miles an hour at 930 every night its her crazy time as we call it she does this every night for like 30-45 mins then she just crashes. She makes us laugh when she wants to play cause she barks and bounces backwards as she does when she gets super excited. We love her personality so much. She fits right in !”

This tall, skinny girl is the largest and lankiest! Kelsey relaxes here on her very own chair cover…wonder if they’ll spoil the baby? That’s right, Kelsey is now a big-sister is devoted, gentle and adores Alexa Grace!!!
This is the tallest of the girls has gotten thinner and much more atheletic as she matured. Ms. KELSEY plays ’til she’s wiped out and then falls sound asleep in place. Here, she has assumed her rightful seat in the living room! Rumor has it that she is showing signs of becoming a WATER DOG! And, while KELSEY was the only one who was NOT pure white, she is a creamy, silky perfect little doodle! We expected we might get a recessive red or apricot bur she is our only “dog of a different color!” While her parents were in Paris, KELSEY came to camp at Smith Mountain Lake…we thought she would have so much fun that she’d want to stay forever…but when Jessica and Matt showed up, Bob and Granny sorta disappeared. She knew exactly where she should be. There’s a whole album of Kelsey videos … and here…she sure loves Slick, the Cat, who’s lovin’ it right back.
Emm told her mom that her dream has always been to have a puppy sleeping on the couch beside her! ![2010 Emm and Sara[1]](http://gabbylabradoodle.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010-Emm-and-Sara1-1024x685.jpg)
SARA She was the first-born and is white, very curly and the calmest, most affectionate baby of all. She has big, deep eyes and loves attention. She doesn’t mind having her toe nails trimmed and loves a tummy rub.
She is pure curly, white, sweetness! SARA is devoted to her very own boy AND girl!
She has discovered stuffed animals and LOVES her little rope toy!
SARA is a devoted playmate and best friend for Emmerson and Keaton! Proving dreams DO come true!
Lots bigger than Keaton, she’s helping him adjust to his new big-boy bed…hope she leaves you enough room, Keaton. And, below she’s helping mom in the “Bark for Life” fun-raiser.
WOW! This girl is gorgeous!

who loves who best?
This is OLLIE and he is a big, furry boy. This laid-back handsome boy went to the Eastern shore where his name is OLIVER or “OLLIE.”
And here he is taking himself for a little stroll! and finally, completely worn out!
We hear that he celebrated his first 4th of July by snatching away a little scrap of red, white and blue plastic and swallowing it before he could be caught. He then had very patriotic poo!
This guy is Mr. Athelete! He fits right in with the Bashams!

___Ollie might be the only non-swimmer…and the Bashams might be tickled pink to keep him out of the pool!______________________________________
If you are looking for a worthy cause, check with the St. Francis link to see how you can help, volunteer, or contribute to their very important mission.
PAX is another large and very thick, wooly-coated male. Here he is at 8 weeks, waiting for the next cue and wearing his new uniform! He became a St. Francis Service Dog for the first 1 & 1/2 years and was raised and trained partly in the home of a special trainer and partly in a pups in prison program (read more about this at the St. Francis Service Dogs link on the right hand side of this page!) His raiser-trainer, Ms. Connie is holding this big lug (at just 8 wks) but he looks very tiny with Ms. Marilyn, as he pays close attention to anything she says! With his loving spirit, PAX took this higher purpose very seriously the moment he put on his special uniform. It was our great priviledge to have a puppy chosen to be part of this extraordinary program. And. it is a terrific compliment to the steadyness, brains, and wonderful temperment of this litter. Altho Pax is no longer with the St. Francis program, he has chosen a different career and we are still very proud of him. We will alway donate one from each litter for this extraordinary work.

We have wonderful news for JEB!
JEB hit a serious bump in the road. The St. Francis Service Dog charity estimates that it costs nearly $25,000 over the 2-yr. period it takes to raise, train, and prepare these special dogs to serve their disabled partners; therefore, the group does additional health screening above the testing we conducted on both parents, Gabby and Oregon.
Both parents were rated as “Good” in OFA testing (a special x-ray reading to determine any genetic defect which might pre-dispose the dogs to developing hip or elbow displaysia. However, Oregon’s owner and TWO vets have assured me that even careful screening can’t gaurantee that any large-breed dog might produce puppies that are all completely clear of a propensity to hip/elbow displaysia. Extensive testing has revealed that JEB has potential problems with his hips. Although he has no current symptoms, JEB has a liklihood of developing hip displaysia, which can be a crippling and painful disease; the St. Francis folks returned JEB to us to find the right home for him…and believe me…this is the RIGHT home!
This finding in no way impacts the health of Gabby’s other puppies!
JEB has become the newest kid (and the only BOY) in the Macias home near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Here are a few of the newest picture of JEB trying hard to adjust in his new home. Wonder how long before this guy forgets us, too!?! And that makes us very happy.
Quick update: Jeb came to visit this summer and even Slick the cat was thrilled to see him. And now, his brother Pax has gone to live with Ms. Laura’s mom and dad at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia.

a little fru-fru under the tree, Jeb!
Jasamine or “JAZZ” is a sweetie and hops up to get your attention. She gets so excited her tail goes in circles instead of a simple wag! She is staying with the Suggs family right here at Smith Mtn Lake and we have visited her and taken siblings to play. She’s summering on Martha’s Vinyard and we’ve recieved a postcard! She loves the ocean, has loads of doggie friends including another doodle, dances and has several new tricks. These are a few pics from our reunion! check out You Tube and Facebook, too.

Jazz is the dainty one of the group…she only weighs around 50 lbs., the petite young lady! But her spirit and her heart are as BIG as all the others!

And this is the beautiful Miss Gracie.
GRACIE is pure white and very feminine-looking. But don’t let GRACIE will be called Gracie by her new parents, Martha and Butch, who passed the Spoil-This-Baby-To-Pieces test! Martha has learned that GRACIE melts your heart when you snuggle with her; she is pure white fluffy affection! GRACIE has found a home where she will be the Princess! AND… if she plays her cards right, she can still be in these arms at
that feminine appearance fool you…She was the first to master climbing and enjoys sleeping on her back with four legs splayed. She is every bit as much of a tomboy as her mother but has that “Treat-Me-Like-The-Princess-I-Am” attitude.
75-80 pounds!
and what a little daddy’s girl! lucky Butch!

Here’s what we’ve noticed…these puppies have smiling faces and look incredibly happy.
But their new families look even happier! What a delight that is for us. Thanks for the pictures and stories and, mostly, for letting us see into the joy your puppy has brought to your family.
We will keep this site open to stay in touch with all of our puppies in their new homes and with their new families. We will update their pictures and information, publish little stories about all the good and the naughty things they are up to…
And, this (and on the Puppy page) is also where any announcement of an upcoming litter would appear! (Here and through Facebook)
Won’t be ’til next summer…but, if you know someone who’s interested, we’ll start the waiting list!
